MarketMonkie ("we", "us", or "our") provides portfolio analysis tools through our mobile apps (Android and iOS) and website at marketmonkie.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in (for example with Google), we receive your email address and basic profile details from our identity provider (auth.marketmonkie.com) to create and secure your account.
• Portfolio data. Holdings you enter manually, import from screenshots, or sync through a connected broker (when that feature is enabled). This may include stock tickers, quantities, exchanges, and related portfolio settings.
• Analysis and preferences. Council setup choices, analysis history, cached analysis results, and in-app settings needed to run scheduled or on-demand portfolio analysis.
• Push notification data. If you enable notifications, we store your device push token (via Expo Push Notification Service), platform (iOS or Android), and notification preferences so we can send alerts you opt into.
• Device and diagnostic data. If error monitoring is enabled in your build, we may collect crash reports, device model, operating system version, and technical logs through Sentry to diagnose problems.
• Photos and media (with your permission). If you choose to import a portfolio from a photo or save a marketing image to your photo library, the app accesses only the items you select. Images used for import are processed to extract holdings; we do not scan your entire library.

How we use information

• Authenticate you and provide the MarketMonkie service.
• Run AI-assisted portfolio analysis on your holdings and show results in the app.
• Send push notifications you have enabled (for example scheduled analysis alerts).
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability of our systems.
• Comply with legal obligations.

How analysis works

When you request analysis, your portfolio holdings and related context are sent to our backend services (including our analysis engine at brain.marketmonkie.com). Analysis may use third-party large language model providers configured by our service. We use this data only to generate analysis for your account—not to train public models on your identifiable portfolio without your consent.

Third-party services

We rely on service providers that process data on our behalf, including:

• Google — optional sign-in authentication.
• Expo / push infrastructure — delivering mobile push notifications.
• Sentry — error and performance monitoring (when enabled).
• Broker partners (for example Zerodha) — only when you explicitly connect a broker account.
• Cloud infrastructure and LLM providers — hosting and running analysis.

These providers are permitted to process data only as needed to perform services for MarketMonkie, subject to their own privacy policies where applicable.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account and portfolio data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Analysis results may be cached for a limited time to improve performance. You may disable push notifications in Settings at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.

Security

We use HTTPS for data in transit and industry-standard controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

Children

MarketMonkie is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers

Our services may be operated from servers located outside your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for cross-border data processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of MarketMonkie after changes means you accept the updated policy.
